Donna watched Mackie's blue eyes close and smiled.
"Night Mackie," she whispered as she closed the door.
Donna walked down the stairs to re-join the game of Scrabble she, Isaac, Taylor, Zac, Jess, and Avery had started up. Jessica (the Hanson one) was at a friends house. Donna sat back down on the couch beside Taylor. Isaac and Jess were another team, seated on the other couch across the table the board was set up on, and the third team, consisting of Avery and Zac, sat on the floor.
"So what did I miss?" Donna asked.
"I just got 30 points with xylophone!" Isaac exclaimed happily. Taylor rolled his eyes.
"Is Mackie asleep?" he asked. Donna nodded.
"So who's turn is it?" she asked.
"Mine," Zac said, as he looked at the letters he had. He smiled and picked up some blocks.
"M-M-M-B-O-P," he said as he placed the letters on the board.
"MMMBop!" Jess and Donna laughed.
"Get real Zac," Isaac said smiling. "You can't use that!"
"Why not?" Zac asked.
"Cause it's not a real word!!" Taylor exclaimed. Zac shrugged his shoulders.
"It was worth a shot," he said. Donna glanced at her watch.
"Oh man!" she exclaimed. "I have to get home! It's after 10!" Donna stood up and grabbed her coat off the armchair.
"Goodnight guys," she said.
"Night Donna," everyone said.
"Wait," Taylor said, standing up. "Let me get my coat and I'll walk you home."
Donna stood by the front door while Taylor ran up to his room to get his coat. He came back downstairs a few seconds later wearing his light green jacket. Donna waved and let Taylor lead her out the front door. Taylor took her hand and they walked together over to Donna's house. When they arrived at the front door, Donna turned to Taylor and smiled warmly.
"Thanks Tay," she said. "I'll call you tomorrow." She leaned in and kissed him on the lips. Taylor put his arms around her and kissed her back. He ran his hands up and down Donna's back as they kissed. Finally they broke apart.
"Wow," Donna said breathlessly. "That was amazing." Taylor blushed.
"Thanks," he said. "I love you a lot."
"I love you too Taylor," Donna said.
"Do you really have to in now?" Taylor asked.
"Well," Donna began. "I guess not. Why? What do you want to do?"
"Let's go up in the treehouse and talk," Taylor suggested. Donna shrugged her shoulders.
"Sure," she said.
Taylor put his arm around her waist, and the two walked back to the Hanson's backyard. Donna climbed the ladder up to the treehouse, and Taylor followed her. Taylor sat down and motioned for Donna to sit next to him. Donna sat down, and Taylor put his arm across her shoulders. They cuddled for a while, and eventually began kissing. Taylor traced Donna's stomach muscles with his fingers. Donna giggled in mid-kiss and pulled away.
"Don't do that," she said smiling.
"Why?" Taylor asked innocently.
"Because it tickles," Donna said.
"Oh really..." Taylor said slyly. "Does this?" he reached out and tickled Donna's sides. She burst out laughing.
"Stop!" she exclaimed. Taylor laughed and pulled her into a hug.
"You're the best Donna," he whispered.
"Same goes for you Tay," Donna said.
