"Right there!" Donna exclaimed. "Sycamore Drive. That's the street." Isaac turned onto the road Donna had pointed out. "It's on the left," Donna said. "Riiiight.....there!" she said pointing to Lindsay's house. Isaac pulled into the driveway, and Donna opened the door before the truck had even stopped. She didn't even take time to look at her old house. She ran up to the front door of Lindsay's house and pushed it open.
"Linds??!!" she yelled. "Are you home??" Donna waited for an answer. Suddenly, she heard pounding footsteps coming up the basement steps. A few seconds later, Lindsay appeared at the basement door. When she saw Donna, her eyes got wide and her jaw dropped. "Careful," Donna said, unable to hide her smile. "You might catch some flies.”
“Donna!!" Lindsay shrieked. The two girls ran to each other and embraced. "Oh my god!!" Lindsay screamed. "It's really you!! I can't believe it!! What are you doing here? How long are you staying? What..." Donna laughed.
"Linds calm down!!" she exclaimed, laughing. "I came here with my friends. We're staying for a whole week!!" Lindsay gasped.
"This is soooo great!" she said. "We have so much catching up to do, and....wait a sec. What friends?"
"Well," Donna began. Just then, Zac jumped through the door. Isaac and Taylor followed him into the house. Lindsay gasped.
"Oh my god," she whispered. "It's...you guys...and I...". She pulled Donna aside. "You didn't say you were friends with HANSON!" she hissed.
"You've heard of them?" Donna asked in a surprised voice.
"They're only THE most popular band around here," Lindsay said. "Everyone I know is going to the concert Friday night, including..."
"Hey Donna!" Isaac said. "Are you going to introduce us or what?"
"Sorry guys," Donna said. She pulled Lindsay over to the guys. "Lindsay, this is Ike, Tay, and Zac. Ike, Tay, and Zac, this is Lindsay." Isaac stuck his hand out.
"Nice to meet you," he said as Lindsay shook his hand. Taylor did the same, and Zac gave her a hug and exclaimed, "Nice to meet you man!!" Lindsay, who was still getting over the initial shock of having Hanson standing in her living room, tried to remain calm. In order to do so, she couldn't open her mouth, in fear that she might scream.
"Umm...Donna?" Ike said. "Does she talk?" Donna sighed and waved her hand in front of Lindsay's face.
"Linds!" she exclaimed. "Snap out of it!"
"But...they're Hanson," Lindsay whispered.
"Linds," Donna said in an exasperated voice. "They're just normal guys!"
"So Lindsay," Isaac said walking up to her. "Are you going to the concert tomorrow night?" Lindsay simply nodded. Donna punched her in the shoulder.
"Would you TALK?" she whispered.
"Oh! I mean...yeah, I'm going," Lindsay said. "How about you?" Isaac smiled, and Zac snickered.
"Well we kinda have to," Taylor said.
"Oh, right!" Lindsay exclaimed. "'Cause you guys are..." Lindsay blushed. "Oh boy," she said. "Now that I've made a total fool of myself, and you guys probably think I'm a complete idiot..."
"We don't think you're an idiot," Taylor cut in. "We've heard a lot worse. One girl actually asked us how we met!" They all burst out laughing.
"So just treat us like regular guys," Isaac finished.
"Or at least attempt to," Zac said. "'Cause, you know, we really are totally awesome, and everyone in the world DOES love us..."
"Don't flatter yourself Zac," Donna said, rolling her eyes.
"So you guys are here for a whole week huh?" Lindsay asked. Ike nodded.
"We go back home on Thursday." Lindsay nodded.
"Donna," she said, turning to her. "We HAVE to get together! I haven’t seen you since, well, since a long time ago."
"Well, maybe I'll see you at the concert," Donna said.
"Hey! Do you think you could sleep over one night before you go back to Oklahoma?" Lindsay asked. Donna looked over at the guys, and they shrugged.
"Probably," Donna said. "I'll call you and let you know, k?" Lindsay nodded and smiled.
"It really is great to have you back," she said.
"It's great to be back," Donna said.
"Hey Donna," Isaac said. "We should probably get back to the hotel."
"Oh okay Ike," Donna said. "I'll call you okay?" Donna said to Lindsay.
"Okay," Lindsay said. "You remember my phone number?"
"Of course!" Donna exclaimed. "I've only called it, like, 25,000 times in my life!!"
