Taylor and Zac pounded down the basement stairs.
"What is it Ike?" Tay asked. "We're missing Beavis and Butthead."
"This is more important than Beavis and Butthead," Ike said as he picked up his guitar and began tuning it. "Get out the music for "I Will Come to You," he instructed Zac and Tay.
"Aww...come on Ike!" Zac whined. "I wanna watch Beavis and Butthead. I don't want to practice."
"I want to try something. Instead of me and Tay doing the duet, I want Donna and Tay to sing together instead."
"Why?" Taylor asked as he turned his keyboard on.
"I want you guys to hear Donna's voice. She's a really good singer." Zac sat down on the stool behind his drums.
"But just one song okay?" he said as he picked up the drum sticks.
"But there aren't any extra mikes," Donna pointed out.
"Here," Ike said as he handed Donna his microphone. "I'll just play." Donna took the mike.
"Does anyone have any extra music?" she asked. Taylor picked up a folder and pulled out 3 sheets of music.
"Here you go," he said handing it to her.
"Okay let's do it," Donna said into the mike.
"1,2,3," Zac said. Taylor began playing the keyboard. Donna began singing.
"When you have no light to guide you, and no one to walk beside you, I will come to you, oh, I will come to you...”
Zac came in on the drums as Taylor picked up singing where Donna had left off. A few minutes later, the song was almost over. Taylor and Donna finished it singing together. Zac and Taylor stared at Donna.
"Ike you were right," Tay said.
"Yeah, she's real good!" Zac exclaimed.
"Thanks guys," Donna said as she placed the mike back in its stand.
"Told you," Ike said smugly.
"Well it's been fun," Donna said. "But I should get home. My parents are probably home, and Jess will be there soon."
"Bye Donna!" Zac yelled. He ran up to her and gave her a big hug, nearly knocking her over. "I love you man!!"
"Ummm....thanks Zac," Donna said hugging him back. "Later guys!" she said as she began to walk up the stairs.
"Wait!" Tay said. "I'll walk you home." He ran up to her.
"Thanks Tay," she said. The two walked up the stairs together. They walked out the front door. Donna saw her driveway was still empty. "I can't believe they still aren't home!" Donna exclaimed.
"You want to go back inside?" Taylor asked her.
"No, that's okay," Donna answered. "I'll just go for a walk I guess."
"Well, do you want company?" Tay asked her.
"Oh you don't have to Tay," Donna said as she began walking down the street.
"No," Taylor said as he followed her. "I want to."
