A few weeks later, Donna and Josh were still going out. They had been on a lot of dates, and were getting very serious. Donna had never had a steady boyfriend before, but she loved every minute she spent with Josh. He was the perfect boyfriend. Polite, thoughtful, sweet and funny. Josh only had one flaw. He was extremely jealous and possessive. Donna hadn't really noticed it though. The Hanson's were supposed to come home that day. Josh was over Donna's house. They were watching a movie together. Suddenly, Donna heard a car. She peeked out the window and saw that the Hansonís were home.
"Come on Josh," Donna said as she grabbed his hand. "I want to introduce you to some friends of mine."
"Who?" Josh asked as he got up.
"Do you know the Hanson's?" Donna asked as she opened the door. Josh shook his head. "Okay good. I'll introduce you," Donna said as she stepped outside.
Taylor, who was standing by the van, spotted Donna coming out of her house. She ran towards him and gave him a big hug.
"Taylor I have missed you so much!" she exclaimed.
"Ahem," a voice said. Taylor spotted a tall guy standing behind Donna.
"Oh sorry Josh. Taylor this is Josh. Josh, Taylor," Donna said. Taylor looked at Josh and then at Donna.
"Is this your friend?" he asked. Josh put his arm around Donna.
"Boyfriend," he said. Taylor stood there stunned. He quickly snapped out of it.
"Well nice to meet you Josh. I have to go. I'll talk to you later Donna," Taylor said as he walked away quickly.
"Tay wait!" he heard Donna say. But he kept going. He walked into his house and up to his bedroom. Zac was nowhere to be seen, but Isaac was watching t.v. Taylor ran over to his bed and flopped down.
"My life is over," he mumbled. Isaac leaned over from the top bunk to look at Taylor.
"What's wrong Tay?" he asked. Taylor looked at Ike.
"Donna has a boyfriend," he said flatly. "I KNEW I should have said something to her. Ike I wanted to be her boyfriend."
"Sorry man," Ike said. "That sucks. But maybe they'll break up or something."
"I doubt it," Taylor said as he buried his face in a pillow. Taylor heard the bedroom door open.
"Hey Ike," he heard Donna say. "Do you mind if Taylor and I talk alone?" Isaac jumped down from the top bunk.
"Not at all," he said as he left the room. Donna shut the door and walked over to where Taylor was laying. He kept his face hidden. He felt Donna sit on the end of the bed.
"Tay?" he heard her ask quietly. "What's wrong?" Taylor sat up and looked at her.
"Nothing," he said. "What makes you think that something is wrong?"
"Taylor, does this have anything to do with Josh?" Donna asked. Taylor shook his head furiously.
"No way. Josh seems like a cool guy. I'm sure you two are very happy together. Donna reached over and took Tay's hand.
"We'll always be friends right?" Donna asked in a quiet voice. Taylor nodded.
"Absolutely," he said.
"Now that's more like it. Now give me a hug. You should be happy to see me!" Taylor smiled and reached over to hug Donna.
"Donna?" he heard a voice say from the other side of the door.
"Yeah Josh?" Donna said. Josh opened the door and observed the scene.
"Come on Donna. Let's go," he said harshly.
"Just a second Josh," Donna said turning back to Taylor. Josh walked over and grabbed Donna's sleeve and pulled her up.
"Josh!" Donna said. "Stop it! I want to talk to Taylor."
"Well we need to talk. NOW," Josh said as he pulled her out of the room.
"I'll call you later Taylor!" Donna yelled. "Josh, let go! I can walk on my own!" Josh pulled her out of the house and back over into Donna's front yard.
Taylor lay back and glanced out the window. He could see Josh and Donna, arguing. Donna looked upset, and she kept motioning towards Taylor's house. Josh looked really mad, and appeared to be yelling at her. Suddenly, Taylor saw Josh slap Donna across the face. He gasped. Donna held her face and suddenly looked sad. Josh seemed to clam down, and was comforting Donna. She shook her head and rubbed her face. Taylor was shocked to see her and Josh hug. Josh let go of Donna and waved. Donna waved back, still holding her face. She suddenly looked up at where Taylor's window was. Taylor ducked and prayed she hadn't seen him.
