The next morning, Donna was awoken by the phone ringing. It stopped a few seconds later, and Donna figured her mother had answered. She went back to sleep, until she felt someone shaking her. She opened her eyes slowly and found her mother standing over her.
"Mom?" she asked sleepily.
"Donna," she said. "I have some bad news." Donna sat up.
"What is it?" she asked in a concerned voice.
"Well, there's been an...accident," her mother said.
"What kind of accident?" Donna asked.
"Isaac just called. Taylor was in an accident. He..."
"Mom! What kind of accident!?"
"Donna, what's wrong," Jess asked sleepily.
"Taylor, in an accident, and I..." Donna began crying.
"What happened Mrs.Wilson?" Jess asked. Donna's mother tried to comfort Donna.
"The boys were rollerblading in L.A., and Taylor was hit by a car. He's in a coma, but the doctor's are optimistic. They think he'll be okay," Donna's mother explained.
"Oh my god," Jess said, now fully awake. "Was anyone else hurt?" Donna's mother shook her head.
"No, everyone else is okay."
"I want to go to L.A," Donna said suddenly.
"Donna, honey, I know you're upset, but," Donna cut off her mother.
"No mom. I have to go. I have to be with Taylor. Please let me go. Please?" Donna's mother sighed and shook her head.
"Donna, are you sure you want to do this?" Donna nodded.
"I really want to be there with him," she said. Donna's mother got up.
"Donna, you can go to L.A.," she said. "But your father and I won't be able to go. We have to work." Donna nodded solemnly. "You sure you want to go?" her mother asked as she walked towards the door. Donna nodded and stood up. "Okay then. I'll go call and order you a ticket."
Donna's mother left the room. Donna sat back down on the bed and put her head in her hands. She cried softly for a few minutes, while Jess comforted her.
